  16. psychedelic era on-stage; in a helicopter crash near Vallejo,
  17. Calif., that also killed the pilot and another passenger. In the
  18. late 1960s Graham's Fillmore West auditorium in San Francisco
  19. and Fillmore East in New York were spawning grounds for the
  20. careers of the Grateful Dead, Jefferson Airplane, Janis Joplin,
  21. Santana and other counterculture stars.
